What is a Public event?
A public event would be the event you create at brand level and to which you would invite subscribers. Basically, it can be sent to a great number of individuals: like a reminder of Black Friday.
What is a Private event?
A private event would be an event that is specific to a subscriber and as such stored in a data extension. It could be a hotel booking, an appointment with a sales, etc.
